Fabrication
Hotrod fabrication covers a lot of areas and this is where we can make your hotrod build or bespoke parts manufacture come together.
We cover all aspects of fabrication from one off parts such as a bespoke made to measure fuel tank, or an impossible to find bracket, brace, or component, to a complete chassis up project.
We work in mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel and offer specialist welding and cutting. This image shows the build of a fuel tank for a 55 Chevy that is part of a ground up build.

Specialist Welding
Finding a hotrod shop that can provide specialist welding is difficult.
At Hotrods Hull we have both the skills and experience, and the equipment to produce anything you need in mild steel, aluminium or stainless steel.
We can fabricate and weld anything from the practical and functional parts you need to hold your car together, to the show quality (still functional!) parts that will make your hotrod stand out from the others.
If you need something specific that is built with skill and a high level of quality then give us a call and we’ll get the welder out!
Exhausts and Headers
Exhausts and headers pose many challenges from the basics of actually getting them to fit in the space you have, to making the flow correct and, of course, getting the sound right.
For headers, we can work with any engine in any space and create the perfect functioning and beautiful looking set of pipes your hotrod needs. These are all custom built to fit your car but we can also provide ‘off the shelf’ or modify existing headers if required.
Your exhaust can be built in mild steel or stainless steel to work with the space, bends, height, and restrictions of any vehicle with a range of silencers available. We can also build switch systems to run through the full exhaust system or flick to a ‘straight through’ set up when racing.

Laser and CNC Cutting and Milling
In some instances you might need parts cutting or machining where it’s better to use laser or CNC.
At Hotrods Hull we use state of the art laser cutting facilities and cnc milling to produce highly accurate individual or multiple parts.
As we fabricate small parts and work on complete builds, it’s great to offer this service as it expands the range of work we’re able to do for clients, and can dramatically speed up the process.

Chassis
Hotrods Hull build and modify chassis for existing and ground up projects.
You may decide on using box section, particularly if its a modification required, and we can design and build around the specific requirements. If you need a back half, narrowing for tubs, front half, modifications for a new front clip, strengthening for the new motor, or a full build to drop the body onto, then we’re the people to speak to.
If you want to go a step further and need a tube ‘space frame’ chassis, then we can start from scratch with the design and build and then continue the process to get the body and the rest of the car in place around it.

Brakes
So, you’ve just got the new motor in and are thinking that the old drums aren’t going to stop it, then we can help with the upgrade and modifications.
At Hotrods Hull we recommend AP Racing as we use them on our cars, but we can upgrade and set up anything to your own specifications.
Unless its an off the shelf swap (which you probably don’t need us for), there are going to be some modifications required and its obviously important to get your brakes from the start.
Our services range from supply of the callipers, discs, pads, etc, you require, to all of the necessary modifications of brackets, machining of discs, etc, you’ll need to make them work, so give us a call today.
Suspension
Suspension comes in many different forms, and Hotrods Hull can provide you with anything from small modifications and brackets to a complete system.
We’ve worked with everything from the traditional (but uprated) leaf spring set up on one of our Chevy’s to coil overs and air ride across a range of customer cars.
From the simple change of mounts to accommodate some coil overs to the additional chassis modifications needed to accommodate an air ride system, we can manufacture and install the set up you need.
We can also source a range of suspension parts from the UK and USA.
